About me

First time I had an experience with the camera when I was roughly 14 years old. It blew my mind. The entire process of clicking a button on the camera and receiving and image, while working in the red-lighted lab, (in my situation it was a bathroom). In the beginning, I was doing it everything by myself: taking photos, mixing the chemicals, developing the camera roll and printing the images. Most of my first images were black and white, and a few colour slides. Later on, I started to use mini-labs; in other words, the developing process of the camera rolls and printing images were done through the professional mini-labs, and that most were colour images. And then the game changed completely, we all experienced a new era of digital photography, where you don’t need any labs, and you can control the entire process by yourself.

I’m a self-taught photographer. Mostly learned by reading specialised literature, photo-magazines, undertook courses in preparation to study at cinematography at the university, which at the end, I didn’t pursue and most importantly, my own experience.

With the new era of digital photography, my approach to photography became more systematic. As my children grew up, I had more time to travel and take twice more images than I used to. I even was invited to run a column called” World through eyes of Felix Shparberg” in one of the prestigious magazines. I also started to participate in a different local photo competition, and lately in the world photo competition as well, where my phots had won numerous awards.
